Flex Presentation at Madison Web Meetup

I gave an intro to Flex talk earlier today at the Madison Web Meetup. As part of the talk I stepped through the creation of a Flex stock data charting application and I'm putting it up here in case anyone wants to see a simple example of loading xml into flex, charting and annotating it. You can view the final iteration of the app or download the source for all three versions.

Hello Corey,

I missed last night Meetup, was wondering if you would have a webinar or something I could view on this process works? I've downloaded the files but not sure what to do with them to view how it works. If it is too much hassle, can you direct me a link online that reference to what you talked about? Thanks I appreciate it!

Re: How to use these files

The three folders you see in the zip file I've posted are Flex projects, the third one being the code for the app I posted. You could view the code in their src (source) folders in any editor of your choice. To actually compile and see the application you would need to load the project into Flash Builder which is a tool from Adobe that I was using on Monday; If you are curious you can get a 30 day trial at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashbuilder/

You can read a good intro as to what Flex is any why you'd want to use it at http://www.kirupa.com/developer/as3/whatisflex.htm
